Founded in 1959, the Denver Broncos are a football team based in Denver, CO. The Broncos compete in the National Football League (NFL in the AFC West division against rivals like Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders. The Broncos have played at Sports Authority Field at Mile High since 2001 in front of 76,000 football fans. The Kansas City Chiefs are an NFL football team based in Kansas City, Missouri and play their home games at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The Chiefs were founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans and in 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name.
The Chiefs have won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966, and 1969. The Chiefs were also the second team, after the Green Bay Packers, to appear in more than one Super Bowl and the first to appear in the championship game in two different decades. As of 2016, the Chiefs are the only NFL team based in Missouri, as a result of the St. Louis Rams’ relocation back to Los Angeles, CA.
