The Minnesota Wild are coming off an NHL Playoff year in the 2016-17 season. The Wild made the NHL playoffs however lost to the St. Louis Blues in the first round. While finishing with a 49-25-8 record last year the Wild are looking to improve on that record for the 2017-18 NHL season.
Founded in 2000, the Wild are based in St. Paul, MN and play their home games at the Xcel Energy Center in front of about 18,000 fanatic hockey fans. The Wild play in the Central Division of the NHL Western Conference against teams like Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Winnipeg Jets. Over their short career they have yet to win a Stanley Cup Championship but have won a Division Championship in the 2007-08 NHL season.
