Formed in Lodi, NJ, Misfits are an punk rock band often recognized as the progenitors of the horror punk subgenre, blending punk and other musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. The original lineup consisted of Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only, and Manny Martínez. Danzig and Only were the only consistent members. Misfits disbanded in 1983 and Danzig went on to form Samhain and then Danzig. They have reunited a few times for a couple of anniversary and one off shows.
