Founded in 1988 in Omaha, NE, 311 is a rock band from Omaha, Nebraska founded by Nick Hexum, Jim Watson, Aaron “P-Nut” Wills. and drummer Chad Sexton. The band’s name originates from the police code for indecent exposure in Omaha, NE. Their self titled album which was released in 1995 gained the band a national fan base and they began selling out venues from coast to coast. 311 has sold over 8 million records in the US.
