Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian, also known as LeAnn Rimes, is from Jackson, MS. Rimes rose to stardom and started selling tickets to sold out concerts at age 13 following the release of the Bill Mack song “Blue”. As a child she was very active in the theatre and music world, even appearing on the show “Star Search” with the great Ed McMahon.

Rimes recorded three albums prior to 1996, however Rimes made her breakthrough that year into country music with her debut album, Blue. Rimes gained national acclaim for her similarity to Patsy Cline’s vocal style. In 1997 she released, You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs, which moved the singer more into the pop-country genre but solidified the singers national fame and ability to sell concert tickets at venues across the country.

Rimes has won two Grammys, three ACMs, a CMA, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and one AMA over her career. She has sold over 37 million records worldwide and thousands of tickets to see the popular singer in concerts.
