Sturgill Simpson is hitting the road in 2018. Sturgill Simpson, from Jackson, KY., is a country music and roots rock singer-songwriter. Simpson spent three years in the United States Navy. He has released two albums independently (High Top Mountain in 2013 and Metamodern Sounds in Country Music). His 2016 album A Sailor’s Guide to Earth was the first to be released under a major label. His second album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album.
