The Calgary Flames made the NHL Playoffs in the 2016-17 NHL season. The Flames went 45-33-4 with 94 points however lost to the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the NHL Playoffs. The Flames finished 4th in the Pacific NHL conference. In the 2017-18 NHL season the Flames are looking to improve that record and make the NHL playoffs once again.
Founded in 1972 in Atlanta, GA the franchise moved to Calgary, ALB in 1980 to become the Calgary Flames. The Flames brought a Stanley Cup Championship to Canada in the 1998-1999 NHL season.
The Calgary Flames play in the Pacific Division in the Western Conference against teams like Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, and Vancouver Canucks. They play their home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome where hockey fans flock on a nightly basis to see their team in NHL action.
