Florida Georgia Line has announced three stadium shows with the Backstreet Boys in Chicago, Boston, and Minneapolis.
The three shows will take place:
July 7 — Boston, Mass. @ Fenway Park
July 29 — Minneapolis, Minn. @ Target Field
Aug. 12 — Chicago, Ill. @ Wrigley Field
Florida Georgia Line, is a country music duo consisting of one member from Florida and the other from Georgia. Brian Kelley (Florida) and Tyler Hubbard (Georgia) signed to Republic Nashville and rose to fame quickly in the industry. Their hit single “Cruise” had a lot to do with that success. The single went on to sell 7 million copies and even received its own remix with rap artist Nelly. “Cruise” won CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year and Duo Video of the Year.
To date, Florida Georgia Line has released three albums. Each one of them has earmed multiple awards and top selling platforms for the country music dup. Here’s to the Good Times was released in 2012 and the album went double platinum due to the success of “Cruise”. FGL won an Academy of Country Music Award for New Artist of the Year in 2013. In 2014, Anything Goes was released and went certified gold. Florida Georgia Line’s third album, “Dig Your Roots” was released in 2016 and should garnish some of country music’s highest awards.
Founded in 1993, in Orlando, FL the Backstreet Boys (BSB) consists of singers A. J. McLean, Howie D., Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. Their self-entitled debut album in 1996 rose the boys to national fame. However, their third album, Millennium, catapulted them to worldwide fame and they began selling tickets to large venues all over the world.
In 2003, they boys broke up and pursued different careers some embarking on a solo career. Although they did release two albums and a performed a “Never Gone Tour” in the mid 2000’s they did not receive the same fame until they officially got back together with the original cast in 2012. That year they set out on their 20th Anniversary tour and released their first independent album, In a World Like This.
The Backstreet Boys have sold over 140 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band in history.
