Mary J. Blige is hitting the road in 2017 and kicking it all off on July 30th in Chicago, IL.
Blige is out in support of her new album, Strength of a Woman. The LP features appearances by Kanye West, Missy Elliot, Quavo of Migos, and DJ Khaled. Special guest Lalah Hathaway will be joining her on tour.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Mary J. Blige is a singer, songwriter, model, record producer and actress. Blige released her first album, What’s the 411?, in 1992 and has since taken the name “Queen of Hip Hop Soul”. She is a recipient of nine Grammy Awards, and has received a record of thirty Grammy nominations. Her album, My Life, is considered among the greatest albums ever recorded according to Rolling Stone, Time, and Vibe. Blige has sold more than 50 million albums and 25 million singles worldwide. As an actress, she has starred in the 2009 Tyler Perry box-office hit “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” and played a role in the film “Rock of Ages”.
