Born in 1933 in Abbot, TX, Willie Nelson grew up in a small farm town and was raised by his grandparents. Nelson grew up singing in the church choir and began writing songs at a young age. Willie Nelson went on to be a country music superstar over the next decades and has released over 100 live and studio albums. He went from playing small bars and local hangouts to selling tickets to some the largest venues in the country.
